My fantasy Diabetes Device would be to lick a little bit of powder every morning. This would make your pancreas kick in and produce insulin for the day. You don't need to test or inject at all through the day and when you're sick you only need to test once a day!
Today is my 365th day of having diabetes. It's approximately 1,460 injections. Breaking record!!!!! :) I got a pair of Wild Goose 100% Australian sheepskin uggboots (knee high). No cold feet for me :XD

Day 3 of Diaberes Blog Week - One Thing To Improve
Every evening we have dinner at the same time, but often I'm still testing my blood glucose or injecting while every one else has already started eating. I could probably inject earlier so I'm on time. Normally I play until dinner time and its often irritating to stop and inject. Diabetes is so boring cos its endless and in your face.

Day 2 Diabetes Blog Week - One Good Thing!
Today I am writing about one thing I do well when it comes to diabetes.
Mum said I was really great at not sneaking food and at testing my blood glucose many times a day.
Dad said I was excellent at counting carbs and my sister said I was good at everything!
I think I'm good at knowing how many units of insulin to take.
I didn't think I was good at anything at all because I hate diabetes, so I just thought I sucked at it. It's hard to feel good at something you really hate.

The Beach
Hey guys,
Lately it's been raining heaps but we were able to fit in a quick trip to the beach. It was warm but not warm enough to swim - heck this is South Australia! Hardy (my non-diabetic dog) almost got swept out to sea. I personally thought it was hilarious how he got dunked by the wave. Which makes me think of another story I'd like to tell...
A few months ago in Warrnambool a friend and I went bodyboarding. We went about three quarters of the way out to the buoy. Next minute we were past the buoy on our way to the Antarctica!! We were in a huge rip.
Back on the beach, my Mum and my friend's Mum were yelling, running and crying. They acted as if there was a shark behind us! We didn't know what the heck was going on, we didn't even realise how dangerous the situation was.
Next thing two lifesavers turn up and we finally clicked. My arms were burning up from all the paddling. By the time we got back in we were so tired we could have gone to bed. I felt like I'd just come out of the refrigerator.
Fortunately my levels were a little bit higher to start with that morning so I didn't have a hypo. Mum said I wasn't to go anywhere near water for the next month including the shower or bath!!!!!
Sorry I didn't update my blog in a while. I was going to shut it down. Then I thought again.
Check out my blog during the Diabetes Blog Week (May 14-20). Click here to see more www.bittersweetdiabetes.com
Hope you've all had a great week, Nick

Inspirational Blogger Award
Recently, my sister's best friend awarded me with the 'Inspirational Blogger Award.' Before I say anything else, I would like to thanks Lauren. It has really encouraged me getting this award.
To accept this gift, I must answer these questions, then pass the award onto someone else. Ok, here goes.
What's your all time favourite movie?
How To Train Your Dragon.
If you owned a stall, what would you sell?
Surf boards, BMX bikes and Cricket gear.
How much taller or shorter would you like to be?
I would like to be another two feet tall.
What's one talent or skill you don't have but have always wanted?
To be able to do a backflip whenever I want to.
Are you a morning person or a night person.
Night.
What's the biggest surprise you have ever had?
When my best friend, Taya, met us in Rome.
If you could have a superpower, what would it be?
Flying.
What's a quirky habit of yours?
Riding a scateboard.
What's the skill you're most proud of?
Being able to get hatricks in cricket.
What was your best vacation ever?
Spending four days in Rome with my best friend, Taya.
Which modern convenience should never have been invented?
'R' rated movies.
Now, I would like to pass this blog award onto ........
Bri! From 'Diamonds and Pearls.' I find that her photography is awesome and very professional. I wish I could be as great a photographer as her. She is an inspiration to me.
To accept this award, Bri must post the following questions on her blog, with the answers. Plus, pass the award onto someone else. Here are the questions, Bri:
1. What is your favourite type of animal?
2. What colour do you hate the most?
3. What's your best hobby?
4. What was your favourite toy when you were three years old?
5. If you had a choice, what time would you wake up in the morning?
6. Would you watch an 'R,' rated movie late at night?
7. What's your favourite saying?
8. What's your favourite T.V. show?
9. What's your favourite subject at school?
10. If you could have dinner with one favourite person, who would it be?
Thanks again to Lauren for giving me this award.
